Gate 31 Human Design | Gate 31 Gene Keys

Shadow: Arrogance

Gift: Leadership

Siddhi: Humility

Greatest expression: Understanding that true leadership comes from the heart, without judgement, and leads with modesty and humbleness. It doesn’t put others down, or perceive itself to be better. Infact it has no awareness as to what others are really doing. It simply backs itself.

Centre: Throat

Connects via: Gate 7

Shadow frequency: Pushing or forcing leadership. Feeling too afraid to lead or unworthy of leading. Arrogance. Needing to be heard. Trying too hard.

Question: What does natural and authentic leadership look like to you?

You don’t need to use forceful or pushy tactics to get people onside, you have a natural ability to influence people with your authenticity and your actions. A naturally persuasive force and voice when you’re simply living and breathing your truth. People take on board your recommendations and listen, trusting what you have to share. This is about being a natural influencer, born to be in positions of leadership in life and modern workplaces.

Question: How can you use your influence to lead more? Where do you need to build confidence to be able to do this?

Frequency Affirmation “I step into my purpose when I speak my authentic truth.”

Personal reflections

We live in a world that is almost verges on the edge of celebrating the shadow frequency of this gate, arrogance. Voting for leaders who don’t lead with any ounce of humility or humbleness, but who pit themselves against each other like an over egged titan battle, fighting to the death for nothing other than pride and ego. Arrogance is the shadow of this human design gate 31, or gene key 31, because it colours our whole landscape with conditioning.

Consider this. Who, either around you, or who you look up to, leads with authenticity and influence, rather than ego and opinion?

You might have to look more closely than you thought.

Arrogance is tainting the world we live in and further feeding polarity and division. Arrogance, in leadership, is ‘my way is right, and your way is wrong.’ Rather than humility, which is ‘this is my truth, but I am also open to hearing your truth too. Perhaps they have a common ground from which we can start.’ Arrogance breeds assumption and judgement. And we cannot live under the light of this gate until we see that not everyone is going to agree. Because right and wrong doesn’t exist when truth is always subjective.

So what is this gene key saying? What is gate 31 in human design actually trying to teach us?

Well, it’s a small switch. We’re not looking for arrogance, we’re looking for influential and authentic leadership. That is to say that as soon as you embody YOUR truth, and forget about using other peoples to put you on a pedastal, you step into influencial leadership, rather than arrogant leadership.

See an arrogant leader must pick apart what others are doing to make them appear better in the eyes of themselves or others. The ego is involved in a negative or harmful way. Creating hierarchy.

But when a leader is authentic, it doesn’t matter what their opposition are doing. Or what people think and believe and say about them. They are in their power, claiming their truth, and speaking from a place of authenticity rather than arrogance. Arrogance pretends to know better. Authenticity only knows who they are, regardless of what others are doing around them.

The authentic leadership leads to the highest frequency of all. Humility.

To be modest. To be humble.

This is the most powerful frequency of all from which to lead. It’s almost intoxicating. Someone who just SO deeply knows themselves and how they can be of value, that they don’t even need to try. It just oozes out of them. Through their words, their actions. Not through force or ego or showing off. Through authenticity.

How might you add a sprinkle of humility to the way you lead yourself, and others, through life?
